We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Drive various types of trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on delivery requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip.
- Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving responsibilities across multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and address any issues during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.
- Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery; familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment; previous forklift certification is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement standards.
- Excellent route planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or road conditions.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform vehicle inspections; ability to lift heavy loads as needed.
