Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Inspect HVAC systems and their components to ensure they are functioning properly
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues
- Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan
- Repair or replace defective parts in HVAC systems
- Test HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and meeting safety standards
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations when working on HVAC systems
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including their components and how they function
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints for HVAC systems
- Proficient in welding techniques for HVAC system installation and repair
- Experience as a service technician for HVAC systems is preferred
- Knowledge of air conditioning principles and practices
- Ability to design and plumb HVAC systems according to specifications
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems
- Experience with appliance repair, including boilers, is a plus
