What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at Fine WoodWorks LLC?
About Us
Fine WoodWorks is a growing custom cabinetry company known for quality craftsmanship and a friendly, down-to-earth team. We build beautiful, functional spaces for homeowners and contractors — and we take pride in doing things the right way.
We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Operations Coordinator who can keep our office and production workflow running smoothly. If you love structure, communication, and helping a team stay on track, you’ll fit right in.
About the Role
This position keeps the heartbeat of the shop running: scheduling, organizing job details, ordering materials, keeping projects updated, and supporting the team with clear communication.
You don’t need cabinet-making experience — we’ll train you on our systems. What matters most is that you’re dependable, organized, and confident managing many moving parts.
This is an on-site role in a shop environment (not remote).
What You’ll Do
- Manage and update the production schedule and CRM
- Organize job details, photos, and project notes
- Prepare job files and quote templates
- Order materials and track deliveries
- Communicate with clients about scheduling and project updates (after training)
- Coordinate with our CNC programmer and shop team on job priorities
- Maintain clean digital job folders
- Assist with light HR duties (timecards, PTO, payroll once trained)
- Help improve systems, organization, and processes as we grow
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator (email, phone, text)
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks without losing accuracy
- Comfortable learning new software and systems
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work without micromanagement
- Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure
- Experience in scheduling, coordination, or office management is a plus
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Stable, full-time role with consistent hours
- Direct impact on the daily success of the business
- Opportunities to grow into more responsibility (production coordination, payroll, SOP development)
- A workplace where your organization skills truly matter
- Supportive environment — no corporate nonsense
Compensation & Schedule
- $25 - $40 per hour based on experience
- Monday–Thursday schedule (occasional Fridays)
- On-site at our Piedmont facility
- Paid time off
- Room for advancement as we continue to scale
