The Accounting Analyst is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, managing accounts payable functions, and performing financial data analysis to support business decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, labor laws, and company policies while leveraging data analytics to improve efficiency and financial transparency.
Essential Functions
The essential functions below are representative of the work performed by the Accounting Analyst and should be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Payroll Administration (40%)
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, deductions, benefits, and employee tax information.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate employee onboarding, status changes, and terminations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.
Accounts Payable (30%)
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
- Maintain vendor records and ensure timely payments in accordance with company policies.
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist in month-end and year-end closing.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with 1099 reporting and vendor tax documentation as well as prepare and file 1099s.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Data Analysis & Reporting (30%)
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends and variances to regulate pricing at locations.
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Sage Intacct.
- Provide insights to management for budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in payroll and accounts payable functions.
- Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity, UKG, etc.) and ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), payroll laws, and tax regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data analytics or business intelligence tools preferred (Excel, Power BI).

Base Pay: Starting at $70,000/ Year
