As an MEP Project Manager – Mission Critical, you’ll lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems across high-performance projects such as data centers and other mission critical facilities. You bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a proactive mindset to ensure seamless integration of building systems from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee MEP subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and monthly payment requests.
- Manage MEP contract terms, including risk identification, issue resolution, and invoice approvals.
- Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs, CBs, RFPs, and other change documentation.
- In collaboration with project team, develop and maintain detailed MEP schedules aligned with overall project milestones and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate equipment procurement, including OFCI and CFCI, and track critical path activities.
- Lead the commissioning process, including coordination with third-party agents, system documentation, training, and turnover.
- Manage all MEP closeout activities including punch lists, O&M manuals, permits, and owner occupancy.
- Lead MEP bidding efforts, including bid package strategy, leveling, and subcontractor negotiations.
- Participate in estimating, quantity takeoffs, and budget development.
- Conduct constructability reviews and collaborate with design teams to align system performance expectations.
- Collaborate with Superintendents on short-term scheduling, look-aheads, and trade coordination.
- Drive quality control processes for MEP scopes, including first-install reviews and inspections.
- Coordinate closely with inspectors and regulatory agencies.
- Lead MEP buyout strategies and subcontractor negotiations.
- Manage change orders and cost impacts using structured change management processes.
- Monitor project financials including cost projections, cash flow, and budget performance.
- Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity with strong organization and accountability.
- Leverage BIM and VDC tools to optimize system coordination and installation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of construction industry experience with a focus on MEP systems
- 5 years of experience in MEP related commercial or data center construction preferred
