Our client is seeking an entry-level Client Technologies Technician to provide technical assistance and support for IT Services Desktop Support staff. This role involves building and deploying laptops, tablets, and workstations, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and maintaining accurate asset documentation. This role is a contract role for 12 months with the possibility of extension and is fully onsite in Columbia, SC.
Key Responsibilities
- Build desktops, laptops, and tablets using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Verify BitLocker encryption keys are stored in Active Directory and InTune.
- Ensure successful installation of MECM Client and required software.
- Maintain connectivity for devices post-build and confirm proper check-in.
- Document all assigned assets in the IT Services Asset Management system.
- Diagnose and resolve endpoint hardware/software issues; log work in Help Desk system.
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate vendor repairs as needed.
- Assist with removal/disposal of obsolete equipment per company procedures.
- Monthly: Patch and maintain backup tablets and iPads per schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years experience in desktop and networked systems support.
- 2 years experience in computer deployments, operations, and repair.
- 2 years experience in hardware/software installation.
- 2 years experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
