Project Manager – Commercial & Mixed-Use Construction
Greenwood, South Carolina | Onsite Role | No Travel Required
Our client is a growing construction client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial and mixed-use construction projects in the Greenwood, South Carolina area. This is a fully onsite position with no travel requirements. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently achieved.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and mixed-use construction projects from start to finish
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and submittals
- Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule and quality standards
- Conduct regular site meetings and provide project updates to leadership and clients
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, change orders, permits, and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
- Identify and resolve project issues in a timely and professional manner
- Track project costs and assist with forecasting and budget management
- Support procurement and subcontractor selection processes
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3 years of project management experience in commercial and/or mixed-use construction
- Experience managing multiple phases of construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
- Stable work history and professional references preferred
