Probate & Family Law Attorney
South Carolina | Full-Time
Our client is seeking a South Carolina-licensed Attorney with experience in Probate and/or Family Law to join a growing legal team. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from intake through resolution while providing meaningful support to clients navigating complex legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in Probate and Family Court matters, including contested and uncontested cases.
- Prepare, file, and manage pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Attend hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trials.
- Advise clients on probate, estate administration, guardianship, custody, divorce, support, and related matters.
- Manage client relationships, case strategy, and caseload progression.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active South Carolina Bar license in good standing.
- 2 years of Probate and/or Family Law experience.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills.
- Working knowledge of South Carolina Probate and Family Court procedures.
Preferred
- Trial and courtroom experience.
- Experience with contested probate matters or complex family law cases.
- Mediation experience or training.
- Familiarity with South Carolina e-filing systems and legal practice management software.
