Mobile Service Technician

Pacific BMW is looking to hire a Mobile Service Technician. This position reports to the Service Management Team. The Service department is open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This is a full-time position and it is paid hourly plus bonuses.

Qualifications           

• Tire Technician experience is required, and Auto Maintenance experience is preferred        
• Knowledge and experience of safety practices and safety equipment       
• Drive both manual & automatic transmissions       
• Three years with a Driver's License from the US with a clean driving record             

Job Responsibilities             

• Drive the Dealership’s mobile service truck to perform vehicles' basic maintenance and assigned repairs
• Utilize dealership-provided tools following proper procedures and following BMW’s standards
• Focus primarily on mobile service appointments notified by the company-provided cell phone
• Assist the shop with quality control and diagnostics as needed
• Test, check, & road-test each vehicle as necessary
• Clean, drain, tag, and turn in warranty parts as required by the manufacturer
• Return vehicles in clean condition, with the seats, radio, mirrors, & convenience items set to their original positions
• Follow proper procedures to document work, to perform recalls, campaigns, updates, and product alerts
• Familiarize with BMW’s memos, technical & service bulletins
• Ensure high standards of technical efficiency are consistently maintained

Physical Requirements            

• Surroundings: Work will usually be performed outdoors under adverse weather conditions. Work will sometimes be performed inside the shop, where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles. 
• Frequently: driving to destinations to perform vehicle maintenance   
• On a regular basis: Standing, walking, bending, twisting and/or stooping, kneeling and/or squatting, climbing stairs, lifting, reaching and/or lifting overhead, grabbing with hands, pushing and pulling
