We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Writer who will also serve as a Scrum Master, with strong experience working in technical teams with an empowered mindset to support a small Agile team. The successful candidate will deliver technical documentation artifacts such as SOPs, guides manuals, and architectural diagrams as well as practice servant leadership and facilitate Agile processes. The person will remove blockers, drive continual improvement, and foster an attitude of transparency within the team. They will act as a communicative and social primary interface between the engineering team and the application development contractor, handling conflict resolution proactively and ensuring smooth collaboration. Additionally, this individual will serve as the main point of contact for stakeholder inquiries, coordination, and reporting, while being situationally aware and assertive in managing multiple workstreams and project activities.

Responsibilities
- Will create and maintain clear, accurate documentation such as SOPs, policies, runbooks, system guides, and user-facing materials.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining technical architecture diagrams, workflow/process flows, network diagrams, and system integration visuals using industry-standard tools.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement in a facilitative and coaching manner.
- Identify, track, and eliminate impediments affecting team productivity, ensuring timely execution and resolution of action items from meetings.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and developers, promoting adherence to Agile principles, methodologies, and practices.
- Track progress and manage multiple concurrent workstreams, providing comprehensive visibility into their statuses and dependencies.
- Complete and present weekly and monthly project status reports, utilizing Jira metrics and analytics to evaluate team performance.
- Identify risks and issues proactively, ensuring timely resolution or effective mitigation strategies.
- Foster effective coordination, conflict resolution, and transparent communication between the internal team and external application development partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder inquiries, maintaining clear and timely updates.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing, including the creation and maintenance of clear, accurate documentation such as SOPs, policies, runbooks, system guides, and user-facing materials.
- Proficiency in technical diagramming, with the ability to create and maintain architecture diagrams, workflow/process flows, network diagrams, and system integration visuals using industry-standard tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and ensure alignment, visibility, and coordination across teams.
- Proven experience resolving conflicts and facilitating effective communication between internal teams and external development partners.
- Solid understanding of software deployment processes, operations, performance monitoring, and security practices in a cloud production environment.
- Exceptional communicative and social skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience w/ Microsoft Visio, Lucid Diagrams or similar applications.
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar applications highly preferred
- Experience in a regulated environment or familiarity with financial regulatory frameworks is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
