Based out of our NYC office, Finatal are actively hiring for an Associate to join our CFO practice.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 with quarterly commission

What will you be doing in this role?
This role is focused on supporting Partners on end-to-end search execution, with guidance and oversight from the U.S. Head of Delivery. The ideal candidate will be integral in market research, candidate development, and project coordination, with a focus on the private equity CFO space. This will be a client-facing role, but Associates are not responsible for business development.
Candidate Management
- Working closely with practice heads to understand job requirements, market map and headhunt candidates specifically in private equity
- Build and manage a high-calibre network of finance professionals on an interim and perm basis.
- Source talent using a mix of platforms – LinkedIn, job boards, our CRM, networking, and direct outreach.
- Conduct initial candidate screening calls and manage full candidate life-cycle.
- Stay current on industry trends, market activity, and recent transactions in the private equity CFO landscape
Client management
- Market map clients, gathering commercial information
- Attend client meetings with of Head of Practices to lead on retained, exclusive, and contingent searches and take job briefings
- Conduct detailed research into clients, their backers and competitors, and creating client packs to be utilised for client pitches, as well as during the search process
What are we looking for in an ideal candidate?
- A 2023-2024 graduate with experience in an executive search or staffing firm. Experience sourcing C-Suite talent is preferred but not essential. We will also consider candidates with client services experience who are eager to step into executive recruiting.

- Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships
- Must be able to commute to our Manhattan (Midtown) office 4 days/week
