About the Role
Financial, Tax & Accounting Solutions is preparing for a state-level State Disbursement Unit (SDU) opportunity and is seeking an experienced professional to support the development and execution of SDU operations.
This role will initially be engaged in an advisory capacity during the proposal (bid) phase, with the potential to transition into a full-time leadership position upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide subject matter expertise in SDU / IV-D child support operations
· Support the design and implementation of payment processing and disbursement workflows
· Develop procedures for exception handling and reconciliation
· Ensure compliance with federal and state IV-D requirements
· Assist in the development of operational plans and implementation strategies
· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support proposal development
· Upon award, lead and manage SDU operations and staff
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience in child support operations (IV-D) or State Disbursement Unit (SDU)
· Experience in high-volume payment processing environments
· Strong knowledge of:
o ACH / NACHA payment systems
o Disbursement operations
o Reconciliation processes
· Experience working with:
o State child support agencies
· Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting or leading SDU implementations or transitions
· Experience in multi-state or large-scale government programs
· Prior leadership experience managing operations teams
