Director of Accounting Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the finance function, including internal controls, processes, and overall financial operations; partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions.
- Oversee monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and timely delivery of executive reporting packages.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and purchasing operations, driving process improvements to support efficiency and cash flow.
- Lead cash flow management, financial planning, annual budgeting, and ongoing forecasting, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements while managing external partners and developing a high-performing accounting team.
Director of Accounting Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership of a full finance function in a mid-market environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical skills, with advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, ConnectWise).
