Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to three years of professional human resources work.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in human resources administration or other related acceptable fields may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of one year.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time professional or paraprofessional human resources experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Overview

The HR Generalist 2 will partner with the HR Manager to provide human resources support across Strategic Technology Solutions. This is a high-volume position that will collaborate closely with Directors and Managers to support hiring needs across the organization and help ensure an efficient and effective hiring process. This individual will provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, support employees by answering HR related questions, assist with performance management, support HR operations and administrative processes, and contribute to the delivery of effective HR services that support organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with employees and managers to ensure timesheets are submitted accurately and on time each pay period.
  • Provide cross-functional support by serving as a backup for HR team members to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Coordinate and process employment actions, including promotions, transfers, retirements, separations, and other personnel transactions.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to post job openings, schedule interviews, and ensure hiring deadlines are met.
  • This position requires attention to detail, strong time management, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
