Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the District Office. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with students, families, and educational staff to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students by enhancing their communication abilities and supporting their educational success.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and resources to educational staff and families to support students’ communication needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate services.
  • Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and relevant educational policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district policies and regulations.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and specialists.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in practice.
