Position Summary  

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas. This position ensures that dishes, equipment, utensils, and workspaces are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to Health Department regulations and company standards.  

Essential Job Functions  

• Properly clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment.  

• Maintain the dish room and dish machine in clean and proper working condition.  

• Change beverage syrups as required.  

• Maintain all kitchen areas in accordance with Health Department regulations and company cleanliness standards.  

• Maintain reliable attendance and follow company call-in procedures when absent.  

• Understand the proper use and hazards of all chemicals used in the kitchen and back-of-house areas.  

• Properly store and maintain small wares while minimizing theft and waste.  

• Ensure kitchen equipment, dish machines, cleaning supplies, and hand-washing stations are properly maintained.  

• Identify safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action when necessary.  

• Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including food storage locations, coolers, mop sinks, ice machines, and drains.  

• Maintain garbage containers and wet floor signs and assist with cleaning other food court areas as requested.  

• Communicate effectively in English for safety, job duties, policies, and guest service purposes.  

• Actively participate in the completion of all daily cleaning and operational tasks.  

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, lift, and read for extended periods of time (8 hours).  

• Ability to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and regularly transport up to 70 pounds.  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy, and sometimes confined environment.  

• Ability to maintain sanitation, food safety, and food service operational requirements.  

• Knowledge of the safe use, mixing, and storage of chemicals, hazardous products, and cleaning materials.
