Fieldston Lodge Care Center, a 200-bed skilled nursing facility located in Riverdale overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades, is seeking a professional, caring, energetic Medicaid Coordinator to join its team. The facility provides 24-hour care and both long- and short-term services, with a mission to maintain each resident’s highest level of independence and health in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
The Medicaid Coordinator will assist residents and families with the Medicaid application process, eligibility, and annual recertifications. Responsibilities include educating potential enrollees, collecting documentation, submitting application packets, following up with LDSS offices to track applications, resolving Medicaid issues, maintaining accurate eligibility records, sorting and distributing daily mail, handling daily deposits and resident funds, and serving as a community ambassador for the facility.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, friendly, and able to communicate effectively, build relationships with residents, families, and government agencies, and manage multiple tasks independently.
