Aquaculturist - Wellfleet Oyster Farm

Overview:
Field Point Oyster Farm is an established growing farm with a family
atmosphere. We offer Full Time, Part Time, and Summer positions.
While some positions will have a primary role, all employees will have
the opportunity to learn and participate in all facets of our
aquaculture operation.

No two days on the farm are exactly alike. Our days are dictated by
the demands of the farm, the season, the tides, and the weather.

We’re looking for enthusiastic people who
will share our passion for farming, love of the bay and don’t mind
getting a little dirty.

Duties:

- Cleaning, sorting and loading oyster seed

- Preparing and loading orders

- General farm maintenance, fixing/building gear, routine maintenance on equipment and machinery

Qualifications:

- Must be able to work individually and as a team in close proximity

- Comfortable working full days on the water and occasionally in the water

-Must be willing to work in inclement weather

- Ability to lift 50 lbs

-Aquaculture experience is a plus but not required

-Reliable transportation

- Flexible hours; occasional weekend work and early mornings may be required dependent on the day’s tasks

We are seeking a full time employee to learn and grow with the company. There is plenty of potential in this position as we are looking to grow someone to a managerial position in the near future. We work on the water year round; from March - January.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
