DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

        OF POSITION:

• A Special Education Teacher with Massachusetts Certification in Moderate Special Needs with specific experience in the areas of working with elementary age students who present with an intellectual/cognitive impairment, language impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and/or neurological impairments. 
• The teacher should have experience and be trained in administering Protocols/Assessments and experience utilizing Life-Skills Curriculums. 
• The teacher must have the experience and ability to collect and analyze assessment data, write and implement Individualized Education Plans and Student Support or Behavior Plans, and work collaboratively and cohesively with general education, special education colleagues, administration, and families. 
• The successful candidate will possess a high degree of motivation, professionalism, creativity, a passion for teaching and learning, strong communication skills, and demonstrate High performance Team characteristics. 
• The candidate will have, or must be willing to be, trained in safety care training. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

MA Certification in Elementary Education and Moderate Special Needs 

SALARY:

$14,605.00 - $30,076.00
