Product Owner/Systems Analyst

Distributed Compute and Storage is looking for a passionate Senior Systems Engineer to drive the development of software solutions for its Infrastructure-as-a-Service team. The primary focus of the role is on product ownership; defining and prioritizing work to improve the efficiency, reliability and scalability of our IT infrastructure services. The ideal candidate has experience in systems engineering with server and storage platforms, combined with strong product management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serves as Product Owner for DCS, managing and prioritizing the Product backlog based on business value and technical needs.
• Partners with stakeholders, including server, storage, security, observability and operations leaders to gather requirements and define solutions.
• Develops and presents a clear product vision and roadmap for their team.
• Translates high-level milestones into actionable epics with clear acceptance criteria with our engineering teams.
• Facilitates Sprint Plannings, Daily Stand-ups, and Sprint Reviews to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Proactively communicate progress, risks and blockers to stakeholders to ensure alignment and maintain momentum.
• Monitors product performance, gathers feedback and continuously advocates for improvement opportunities.
• Actively promote good engineering practices and standards.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or similar.
• Product Owner Certifications (CSPO, SAFe Product Owner, or similar).
• Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical and business priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• An understanding of full stack development. Tech Stack - Angular/Java SpringBoot
• Hands on experience with development languages (python, GoLang, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

• Systems engineering experience with IaaS, server and/or storage platforms.
• Understanding of automation platform functionality (ansible preferred).
• Familiarity with observability, resiliency, data center / cloud platform infrastructure.
• Familiarity with server provisioning, configuration management and storage systems.
