Responsibilities:
- Manage arrangements, services, embalmings, casketing/cosmetizing, and removals as necessary
- Coordinate arrangements with families and other stakeholders to provide compassionate funeral, cremation, and cemetery services
- Assist families in selecting products and services, and finalizing financial arrangements
- Prepare and oversee visitations, funerals, and memorial services
- Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures and complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly
- Maintain licensure and certifications to meet regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing and transferring cremated remains according to industry standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Active Funeral Director/Embalmer license in the state of North Carolina or ability to reciprocate
- 1 year of funeral directing experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to adhere to the professional dress code of the funeral home
- Availability for on-call work as needed
