Position Overview: The ideal candidate will be in the “Chicagoland” area and will oversee HR functions for four of our plants; UpTime Fleet Solutions, Velko Hinge, Herdeman Acquisition, and Bulter Gear Enterprises. As a Group Human Resources Manager you will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, overseeing HR operations, and partnering with leadership to drive our people strategy. This includes recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations and benefits administration.
Responsibilities In Collaboration with Corporate HR:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the company's overall objectives and foster a culture of employee engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for various manufacturing and administration roles.
- Collaborate closely with department managers to identify staffing needs, skill gaps, and career development opportunities within the manufacturing workforce.
- Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions, while ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Lead compensation and benefits administration, including salary reviews, incentive programs, and benefits enrollment, ensuring competitiveness within the manufacturing industry.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with labor laws and regulations and communicating changes effectively to employees.
- Implement and manage training and development programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and career progression within the manufacturing division.
- Monitor and analyze key HR metrics to assess workforce trends, turnover rates, and other relevant data, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by collaborating with the Health and Safety team to implement safety protocols and initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in HR and manufacturing to drive innovation and improvement in HR processes.
- Traveling to the plants is required to ensure positive onboarding experiences for new employees, a consistent employee relations experience at each facility and consistent performance management program throughout each organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
- 5 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in recruitment, talent management, employee relations, and performance management within a manufacturing context.
- Vast HRIS experience including ADP WorkforceNow
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- Comfortable with 50% travel weekly to plants in “Chicagoland” area
Salary : $69,000 - $87,300
