What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Events Manager position at Fiddlers Creek Management Inc?
BASIC SUMMARY:
Plan, promote and direct all club activity programs to achieve customer (guest, member, employee, corporate and owner) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. The position is responsible for short and long-term planning and day-to-day member activities of the club and spa functions. Develops and recommends the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, promote and generate participation for all Club and Spa events, group tours and classes.
- Work with all departments necessary to ensure events are planned, set up, run, and broken down successfully. (I.E. Maintenance, F B, Banquet, Hospitality etc.)
- Provide a varied selection of events that is attractive to all members and complies with Club and Spa Guidelines. (no solicitation, no charging between vendors members etc)
- Arrange for all entertainment and vendors, outlining fees and times and negotiating contracts and ensuring the proper terms and conditions and insurance requirements are complied with.
- Manage the handling of association business, action items, and homeowner requests received by telephone, in person, in writing, or via email.
- Manage and work with the Events Team to ensure that all events are prepared for and executed successfully.
- Control the use of budgeted funds to ensure maximum member benefit.
- Enhance existing scheduled events.
- Coordinate with the Chef to prepare and present menus for events with members. All menus are approved by the Chef.
- Work with the Marketing department to provide timely marketing material and information for maximum participation and enjoyment for all members.
- Work closely with Marketing and Membership departments to organize and publish all communication including Club Newsletter, mailings, collateral, website, and social media.
EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- A Four-year college degree in related field of study or equivalent experience.
- Four years management experience, two of which are in an activity’s role.
- Must be well versed in all computer programs to plan, design, and develop communication materials.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
- Previous experience of high volume, managing multiple daily events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:
- Grasp, lift, push/pull, carry or transport up to 15 lbs.
- Reach with hands and arms, bend stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Sit, stand, and walk for the length of scheduled shift.
- Express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly, and quickly.
- Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Have visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
