Position Overview:
The Quality Control Team Lead will manage the day-to-day operations of the QC Inspection Team at the site location assigned to by the Quality Control Supervisor (QCS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist QE & QCS with rolling out new inspection plans and ensuring qualified technicians are trained according to customer requirements and QMS standards
- Train and develop skills of new quality control inspectors
- Work with QCS to manage QC Department Training Records
- Update QCS and Workflow Specialist, as needed when issues arise
- Supervise QC staff, provide feedback, direction and support, as well as any corrective action necessary
- Perform all duties in the QC Inspector Job Description, as needed, to meet minimum daily quantities
- Ensure full compliance with QMS in completing documentation, providing product traceability and retaining inspection records.
- Ensure full compliance of all required internal ERP/MRP processes daily.
- i.e. GSS system QC processes (Push, RMA, Rework)
- Daily Balancing in GSS
- NCMRs in NCR Database
- Utilization of Planning System
- And any other daily transactions
- Complete employee performance evaluations/reviews, and send to QCS for review
- Provide feedback to QCS and Quality Management on how to increase efficiency
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- High School diploma or GED
- A minimum of two (2) years of composite industry experience, or equivalent years of quality control experience in advanced manufacturing
- Thorough knowledge of composite materials and related manufacturing equipment and processes a plus
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized and have the ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and good documentation practices
- Self-starter, results-oriented individual with ability to organize and analyze data
- Proficient with MS Office products
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills are important because measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are major parts of quality control testing
- Must be able to use specialized tools and machinery when testing products (calipers, micrometers, depth gauge, gauge pins, Romer arm, Metra Scan, etc.)
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Hours of Operation:
Normal business hours: 7:00AM – 4:00PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
- Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
- Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
