Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) by maintaining documentation, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards. This role focuses on executing nonconformance and corrective action processes and supporting process improvement initiatives across departments. The specialist plays a key role in sustaining product quality, maintaining accurate records, and promoting a strong culture of quality throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
15% - QMS Optimization & Maintenance
- Assist with effective Quality Management System throughout the company
- Assist with audits – internal, and supplier
- Assist with maintaining the Quality Manuals, Quality Procedures, SOP’s, Work Instructions & other QMS documentation, & ensure contents are appropriate for the business
75% - Documentation / Monitoring / Reporting
- Assist in maintenance of the nonconformance reporting (NCR) system and assist closure on internal and external NCs by following up with assigned persons
- Verify effectiveness of implemented corrective actions in response to NC’s and RCCA’s
- Support the resulting process improvement activities of NC’s, KPI review & RCCA
- Execute assigned calibration of measurement equipment to meet QMS requirements
- Manufacturing record retention e.g. Scanning and/or filing paper checklists
- Assist with Mold Tracking, Preventive Maintenance & Reconditioning process
- RMA and Scrap processing
- Coordinate with Quality Engineering and Supply Chain to communicate Supplier Nonconformance (SCAR) as required
- Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g. – Gemba walks) as requested
10% - Other activities
- Assist with promotion of quality awareness
- Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Associate degree, preferred
- Basic knowledge of composite material related manufacturing equipment and processes a plus
- Strong technical writing skills, the ability to communicate effectively with management, technical teams and all departments in the business
- Ability to contribute independently with a strong work ethic, be innovative, detail oriented, possess initiative, be positive, and be people oriented
- Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel, ERP Software, PowerBI, or other relevant data mining software applications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Hours of Operation:
Normal business hours: 7:00AM – 4:00PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
- Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
- Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
