Fibergrate Composite Structures, a local Stephenville manufacturing company is looking for Pultrusion Operator (1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift) to join our team.
Job Overview:
The Pultrusion Operator is responsible for setting up and operating various pultrusion machines and pultrusion line equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate mastery of Creel Associate job functions.
- Demonstrate mastery of Cut/Take Off Operator job functions.
- Be able to read and follow engineering diagrams for setting up materials on individual pultrusion lines.
- Position requires the ability to count, measure, and weigh accurately.
- Position requires quality, safety and service-oriented individuals.
- Be able to understand Fibergrate mixes and material identification.
- Have a knowledgeable understanding of hazardous material handling and storage.
- Understand and have a good working knowledge of the Fibergrate part numbers.
- Must have ability to communicate effectively to shift personnel.
- Be able to locate pultrusion line materials and perform machine set ups.
- Provide the most consistent and on time delivery of materials possible.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
- Effective verbal and written communications in English preferred.
- Basic reading and writing competencies in English preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
- Possess the ability to utilize the training provided to make sound and safe judgements.
- Basic arithmetic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, stand, and climb stairs for 8–12-hour shifts.
- Must be able to use hand trucks and carts to push and pull loads > 100 lbs.
- Must have ability to lift and carry loads ≥ 50 lbs.
- Must have ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts.
- Position requires dexterity of hands and fingers to use hand/power tools and fasten items.
Work Environment:
Usually in an indoor environment but with regular exposure to outdoor environments such as dust, summer temperatures, winter temperatures, and periodic foul weather. Stair usage, ladder usage and uneven surfaces should be expected.
