The Purchasing Buyer is responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to support production needs. This role combines both strategic purchasing responsibilities and day-to-day purchasing activities.
Key responsibilities include sourcing raw materials and packaging supplies, negotiating pricing and terms with vendors, monitoring inventory levels, tracking incoming shipments, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective vendor partnerships while maintaining cost efficiency and supply reliability.
Experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or packaging-related purchasing environments is preferred.
