Description
We are currently looking for someone who has fiber splicing experience.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fiber Optic Splicer at Fiber Connect located in Kenosha, WI. The Fiber Optic Splicer is responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables and related equipment. The Fiber Optic Splicer will work in both indoor and outdoor environments, and will be expected to provide quality workmanship while adhering to safety procedures.
Qualifications
1. A High School Diploma, or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of computers and electronics.
3. Ability to follow instructions.
4. Ability to distinguish colors.
5. Ability to use specialty tools.
6. Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and see colors.
7. Precise hand-eye coordination.
8. A valid driver's license, with a satisfactory driving record and the ability to pass a background check.
9. Must be able to work days or nights. Most of the current work is day work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
