Purchasing Manager
Job Tasks:
- Manages and coordinates activities of buyers and support staff engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery and supplies from vendors to maintain FIBA production levels.
- Purchase and negotiate all vendor supplied services as well as coordinate delivery times.
- Obtain product and/or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Insure cost reductions by vendor interaction, product comparison, and knowledge by continuously managing relationships. Perform all purchasing functions in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Support all MRO activities within the organization.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a purchasing field required.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with various departments within the organization.
- Must be proficient in MS Excel and accounting software. MAS500 experience is a plus.
