What You’ll Do
- Serve as a design leader for interior projects, guiding concepts from programming to final documentation
- Lead and facilitate programming meetings, balancing design vision, budget, and client priorities
- Develop and present design concepts and materials to clients, providing clear options for decision-making
- Oversee the quality and completeness of design documents to ensure alignment with project goals
- Solve complex technical design issues and develop details that deliver on design intent
- Prepare and review specifications to achieve best value for the client
- Mentor junior interior designers, providing guidance on design, technical execution, and professional growth
- Build and maintain client relationships, representing FGMA at meetings, presentations, and industry events
- Collaborate closely with project managers to track schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Support marketing and business development initiatives within the Municipal practice
What You Bring
- 10 years of relevant interior design experience, ideally with public projects
- Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program
- NCIDQ certification preferred, or actively pursuing
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both design excellence and technical execution
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization tools
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and lead discussions
- Proven ability to mentor and guide less experienced designers
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and sustainable design strategies
