Laborer Pipe Layer

FG Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our heavy civil and underground utilities team. This role is responsible for the installation of storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water pipe systems while working closely with excavator operators, foremen, and labor crews.

Key Responsibilities

• Install storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water pipe per plans and specifications
• Set pipe to proper line, grade, and elevation
• Assist with trench preparation, bedding, and backfill
• Work safely in and around trenches, shoring, and existing utilities
• Communicate effectively with excavator operators during lifts and placement
• Ensure pipe joints, connections, and structures are properly aligned and sealed
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA trench safety standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of pipe laying experience in underground utilities
• Experience with storm, sanitary, and/or water systems
• Ability to read plans and understand grades and elevations
• Knowledge of trench safety and underground construction practices
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy civil or roadway construction experience
• Experience with manholes, inlets, and structures
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• CDL (a plus, not required)
