Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment, accurately documenting tasks and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including automation components (sensors, drives, control devices).
- Drive improvements in maintenance tracking and documentation practices.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain production and support equipment (forklifts, scrubbers, lifts, skid loaders, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues; assist with PLCs, sensors, HMIs, and automation systems.
- Support building and facilities maintenance (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, outdoor areas).
- Promote a safe working environment and follow all safety standards and protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a focus on preventive maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical systems and basic automation technologies.
- Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and industrial controls.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and system diagrams.
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable using computers and digital tools for documentation and reporting.
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Physically able to lift 20 lbs repetitively, and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Valid driver's license required; forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or automation support in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems or CMMS tools is a plus.
- Experience supporting reliability or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
