Summary of Position:
The Student Assistant supports the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) — a hub for faculty professional development and instructional innovation — by performing essential office operations that keep FCTL running smoothly. The position is open to students with or without Work Study funds.
The position is in-person. Up to 24 hours per week during the semester, and more available during the summer.

Applicants should:
Have experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook
Willing to learn new skills (e.g., using QuestionPro; effective online literature searching; Excel)
Be proactive, welcoming, and collaborative
Be reliable
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The FCTL Student Assistant's duties include:
Checking, forwarding, and/or responding professionally to inquiries and/or emails, phone calls, and voicemail messages
Sending University-Wide Notices, mass emails, and Outlook calendar invitations
Filing, printing, scanning, and photocopying documents
Entering and summarizing data
Greeting and assisting faculty, staff, and visitors in person and by phone
Conducting online literature searches
Setting up and tearing down for various events
Completing other general office duties and tasks (e.g., general cleaning, organizing)
