Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Process customer invoicing and billing transactions
- Support collections efforts and customer account follow-up
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis
- Assist with month-end close activities and reporting
- Support cash management and other accounting-related functions
Inventory & Operational Accounting
- Assist with inventory tracking, reporting, and reconciliation activities
- Support inventory accounting processes as needed
- Partner with operations and leadership to ensure financial accuracy
- Help improve reporting and accounting processes across the organization
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives
- Leverage technology to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2 years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and month-end close
- Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working within QuickBooks, Peachtree, ERP systems, or similar accounting software
- Comfortable learning new systems and technologies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Backgrounds
- Manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or service industry experience preferred
- Inventory accounting experience is a plus but not required
- Experience in small to mid-sized business environments preferred
- Self-starter who enjoys taking ownership and wearing multiple hats
