Location: Reynoldsburg, OH

Reports To: Controller

Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Travel: Up to 10% (primarily for year-end physical inventory at other ATW locations)

Role Overview

The Buyer is responsible for all materials and inventory entering the intercompany shipments, external suppliers (domestic and international), and production entries across the clients locations. This is an ownership-minded buyer who can drive process improvement rather than simply maintain the status quo.

Required Qualifications

• International purchasing experience required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in purchasing
• Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain, business administration, or a related field heavily preferred
• ERP system experience required
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
• Strong computer and data analytic skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and effective time management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in teams
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Open to candidates with broader manufacturing backgrounds
• Forecasting experience
• Power BI experience
• Established vendor relationships a plus (client has existing vendors but is open to new ones)

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse inventory levels to ensure efficient use of available space
• Process purchase order requests to meet material demands for the location
• Verify appropriate inventory levels via Material Resource Planning (MRP) to determine order and delivery schedules
• Adjust orders and deliveries as needed to minimize excess inventory
• Expedite orders as necessary while identifying root causes to prevent the need for future expediting
• Review and oversee the receipt of goods entries into the corporate warehouse
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Process all bin transfers for the warehouse
• Oversee and manage the input of all production completed at specified locations
• Act as building coordinator for the annual Physical Inventory
• Place orders months in advance to support planning cycles
• Drive process improvement initiatives as a self-directed owner of the purchasing function
