Position Overview

The Benefits & Compensation Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and provides support across compensation and Total Rewards programs. This position plays an important role in ensuring benefits and compensation programs are accurate, efficient, compliant, and provide a positive employee experience.

A major focus of the role will be using Workday Benefits to manage employee benefit programs, troubleshoot enrollment issues, maintain accurate data, and improve benefits processes. The Benefits & Compensation Analyst will also serve as a primary resource for employees, retirees, and benefits vendors.

The ideal candidate will have strong benefits administration experience, hands-on Workday knowledge, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to clearly communicate complicated benefits information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and retirees regarding benefits questions, enrollment issues, eligibility, and other benefits-related concerns.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of health, retirement, and other employee benefit programs.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual Open Enrollment process, including planning, system setup, employee communication, enrollment, troubleshooting, and completion.
  • Maintain and audit employee benefits information within Workday to ensure enrollment and eligibility data is accurate.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve Workday benefits enrollment errors and system issues.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Workday integrations between the organization and benefits vendors.
  • Investigate and resolve benefit vendor file discrepancies, transmission issues, and enrollment errors.
  • Partner with benefits vendors to ensure accurate employee enrollment and effective administration of benefit programs.
  • Manage benefits invoices and vendor payments, including retrieving invoices, processing payments, and documenting applicable accounting transactions.
  • Assist with annual retirement plan audits by gathering documentation, researching discrepancies, and confirming employee eligibility and employer contributions.
  • Support the Compensation & Benefits Manager with compensation benchmarking, job evaluations, salary surveys, and market research.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, evaluate costs, and support Total Rewards decisions.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable benefits and compensation regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes and maximize the effectiveness of Workday.
  • Support additional HR, compensation, benefits, and Total Rewards projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in employee benefits, Total Rewards, Human Resources, or a related area.
  • Hands-on experience using Workday, with a strong understanding of the Workday Benefits module.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex benefits information to employees.


Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
