The Area Sales Manager “Custom Line and CRN – Americas” is responsible for driving direct and indirect sales of Custom Line and CRN yachts throughout the assigned market. This role requires strong knowledge of yacht construction, operations, and ownership considerations, as well as the ability to advise clients and brokers with a high level of product and competitive market expertise. The position works closely with shipyards, internal teams, brokers, dealers, and other industry stakeholders to expand market presence, support sales growth, and deliver exceptional client experience. Key responsibilities include presenting and differentiating products, evaluating customization feasibility based on client requirements, managing client expectations, and leading opportunities through to successful order placement and sale completion. This role requires extensive domestic and international travel and a high degree of professionalism, commercial judgment, and product knowledge.


Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions


  • Meet or exceed sales and revenue objectives for the assigned brand portfolio within Ferretti Group of America.
  • Analyze market conditions, demand trends, and competitive pricing to support sales strategy, inventory planning, and opportunity development.
  • Serve as a product and market expert by providing guidance, education, and sales support to clients, brokers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate vessels, client requirements, and owner feedback to support product recommendations and commercial decision-making.
  • Travel throughout assigned markets to build relationships with prospective buyers, brokers, dealers, owners, and shipyard partners.
  • Support brand visibility and business development through promotional events, strategic partnerships, and dealer network expansion.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and shipyard teams to assess annual product needs, support production planning, and manage both customer-ordered and speculative new-construction projects.
  • Partner with brokers and dealers to support pricing strategy, sales execution, and achievement of budgeted performance targets.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle for each transaction, including pricing, documentation, approvals, and execution of contracts and related addenda, to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with after-sales, marketing, and sales teams to support customer satisfaction, lead management, CRM effectiveness, and overall commercial performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the FGA After Sales Team to support exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Managing leads in coordination with dealers and sales executives through a disciplined and structured process to maximize conversion and achieve sales objectives.
  • Partner with Marketing on brand strategy, events, advertising, digital and social media initiatives, website content accuracy, and related commercial programs.
  • Demonstrate leadership, model company values, and contribute to the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
  • Travel extensively, including to shipyards in Italy and across dealer markets in North and South America, with availability to work evenings and weekends as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Job Specifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.


Experience

  • Minimum of three years of related experience in marine sales, preferably including experience representing a yacht manufacturer, its foreign subsidiary, or a related dealer network.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of the luxury yacht and marine industry, preferably including Ferretti Group brands.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer focus and negotiation skills, with a professional presence and demeanor.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in a second language is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales objectives and delivering measurable results.
  • Technical knowledge of yacht engines, vessels, and related systems is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally throughout the year, as required.
  • High level of proficiency with computer applications and the Microsoft Office Suite.


Work Environment

  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including meetings with clients, yacht captains, shipyard personnel, and port representatives, as well as vessel inspections conducted on docks, floating barges, and similar marine settings.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment, including a laptop computer, copier, and other general office technology, is required.
  • The role requires effective verbal communication, active listening, reading comprehension, visual acuity, typing, and written communication skills.


Physical Abilities

  • The position requires the ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, push, and lift up to 30 pounds during travel and while performing job-related duties.
