About Us

Ferrell Injury Law is a Colorado plaintiff’s personal injury firm. We represent injured people in auto collisions, premises liability, dog bite, medical malpractice, professional malpractice, and insurance bad faith cases. We are a lean, tech-forward firm that values precision, accountability, and doing right by our clients.

The Role

Our legal assistant keeps cases moving from day one. You will open claims, get records flowing, and make sure every client and caller is treated with professionalism and care. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, and wants to grow in personal injury law.

Responsibilities

•          Open claims with insurance carriers and send letters of representation

•          Request medical records, medical bills, and police reports, and follow up until they are received

•          Obtain copies of auto insurance policies

•          Obtain lien information from health insurance companies and other potential lien holders

•          Answer and route incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous manner

•          Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters

•          Scan, name, and save documents to the correct client files

•          Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files

•          Process incoming and outgoing mail

•          Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals

Requirements

•          Strong organization and attention to detail

•          Professional phone presence and clear written and verbal communication

•          Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through without reminders

•          Comfortable with computers, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat

•          Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion

Preferred

•          At least 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, receptionist, or case assistant, ideally at a personal injury law firm (plaintiff, defense, or insurance)

•          Experience with Filevine, Dropbox, Slack, or AI tools (we use Claude and Eve)

•          Bilingual in English and Spanish

Compensation & Benefits

•          $20.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience

•          Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week or 12 per day

•          Firm pays 50% of the employee’s health insurance premium (Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield) after a one-month waiting period

•          Flexible time-off policy

•          Possibility of hybrid-remote schedule after 90 days
