Position Overview
The Warehouse Multi-Function Associate is responsible for supporting all aspects of warehouse operations, including order selection, pallet building, staging, and product movement for outbound delivery. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and safety while handling dry, refrigerated, and frozen products in a fast-paced foodservice distribution environment. The position plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity, meeting productivity standards, and supporting overall warehouse performance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Pick up and review order selection documents prior to the selection process
- Select and separate products by account and stop number using computer-generated labels
- Match product descriptions to labels to ensure order accuracy
- Build pallets according to customer specifications while maintaining product integrity
- Maintain production standards while minimizing errors, damages, and mis-picks
- Transport completed orders using a stand-up electric pallet jack to designated staging areas
- Stage, load, and prepare orders for outbound delivery
- Assist with unloading inbound product and handling returns as needed
- Restock, rotate, and repack product as required
- Operate warehouse equipment including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other powered industrial equipment
- Maintain proper pallet configuration, including stacking and shrink wrapping for load stability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of company information
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in multiple temperature zones, including refrigerated and freezer environments (up to –10°F)
- Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and move up to 80 pounds throughout the shift
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or stock pickers
- Experience in foodservice distribution or high-volume warehouse operations
- Familiarity with RF scanning or warehouse management systems
- Prior experience working in multi-temperature environments
- Certification or training on powered industrial equipment
