About the Role
We are seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Heating Service Manager to lead our field technicians and oversee the daily service operations of our "Complete Heating Company." You will be the bridge between our customers’ needs and our technical execution, ensuring burner and boiler repairs are handled with precision and elite customer service.
Key Responsibilities
-Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and mentor a team of Oil Burner Technicians and HVAC installers to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
-Operational Oversight: Manage the daily dispatch of service calls and maintenance, optimizing routes for efficiency and response time.
-Technical Support: Act as the "expert in the room" to troubleshoot complex boiler and furnace issues that field techs may encounter.
-Customer Excellence: Resolve customer escalations regarding service quality or equipment performance with a professional, solution-oriented approach.
-Inventory & Fleet: Oversee parts inventory levels and ensure the service fleet is maintained and properly stocked.
Qualifications
-Experience: 5 years of experience in the Oil Heat/HVAC industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
-Technical Mastery: Knowledge of oil and gas burners and boilers.
-Licensing: Relevant trade licenses (e.g., NYC Oil Burner Equipment Installer License) are highly preferred.
-Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; comfortable using dispatching software and mobile technology.
