What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Management Assistant (In-Office) position at Ferrandino & Son?

Ferrandino and Son, Inc. , is looking for a detail-oriented and career-motivated individual to join our awesome team. The Risk Management Assistant will administer and manage sub-contractors' required insurance and other compliance documentation within the company's internal systems and service partners to ensure we are appropriately managing our risks. You'll be handling our Department email inboxes and assisting with general insurance, safety, and claims matters. The ideal candidate will work independently; coordinate, review, monitor, and help maintain our overall risk management process. You have a good blend of communication skills and the confidence to interact with colleagues, customers, and service partners through email, video, talk and text.

Essential Functions :

Review the data, systems, & reports for the proper insurance risk management documentation

Work with the various parties (sub-contractors, risk management partners, etc.) to address concerns and determine a plan of action to rectify any deficiencies

Assist Reporting of sub-contractor compliance status

Update spreadsheets and systems

Diary for follow-up on higher priority items

Oversees and administers the Claims, COI, and Compliance Group Email-boxes as necessary

Coordinates and creates all claims, Non-payment complaints, etc.

Obtains information supporting Claim documentation, essential for the defense of Ferrandino & Son and its Clients

Inputs and uploads all information and documentation into the claims portal, contract database, and shared folders as necessary

Data entry required

All documentation must be labeled and notated appropriately

Updates claim files with new documentation and information (i.e. claim number / adjuster information, litigation plans, deposition notices, etc.)

Update Large Loss report

Support Safety efforts, especially with Motor Vehicle Report Monitoring Service

Assist with Invoice Review for the Department's services

Some Data Entry as necessary

Other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skill and Experience) :

Associate's Degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred. Prior Insurance or Risk Management experience a plus!

Computer skills, like Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and especially Excel proficiency Vlookup knowledge helpful

Attention to Detail, and problem solving skills

Good people and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently

Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously

Pay Rate Detail : The base rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.
