Job DescriptionFerra Designs in Brooklyn, NY seeks a full-time CNC / Laser Machine operator for an ultra-high-end Metal Fabrication shop. Knowledge of the highest standard of craftsmanship and finish quality is a must. Qualified candidates are asked to include work samples and professional references. This position is half CAD/CAM technical and half physical (moving sheet metal from inventory to the bed) This position is in Brooklyn, NY and is full-time.Job Requirements· Minimum 2 years Experience using CAD/CAM systems· Capable knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks or comparable parametric modeling software· Detail orientated mindset is required· Forklift Experience· Experience with Trumpf equipment and practices desired· Ability to create projects of the utmost quality· Ability to read and work from formal drawings or sketches to follow fabrication plans· Familiar with common metal shop tools. IE: welders, grinders, drills, taps, saws, clamping devices, measuring and marking tools· Fine finishing of parts using a variety of stationary and portable grinders, files, polishing wheels and sanders· Capable knowledge of standard office software such as Excel, Word· Excellent verbal and written communication· Function as a part of an effective team· Ability to multitask and juggle shifting job priorities· Work in a highly organized and clean fashion· Keep a professional demeanorAdditional Preferred Skills/Abilities/Experience· Skilled in metal welding and finishing techniques· Project development experience· Ability to operate metal specific equipment such as a press brake, pinch rolls· Experience taking site surveys and site-specific measurements· Hand drawing / drafting skillsNotes● Must maintain excellent attendance record and will be asked to work overtime hours● Positive attitude● Drivers licenseFerra Designs is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
