Accounts Payable Specialist

Fernelius Auto Group — home to Fernelius Toyota, Fernelius CDJR, Fernelius Ford, Fernelius Hyundai and our Collision Center — is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our office team and help keep our financial operations running smoothly across all three locations.

What You'll Do
- Process vendor invoices and manage the full accounts payable cycle across multiple dealership locations
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents; research and resolve discrepancies
- Process payments via check, ACH, and other methods within vendor terms
- Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate, up-to-date AP records
- Work closely with parts, service, and sales departments to verify and code expenses correctly
- Assist with month-end close processes, including AP accruals and account reconciliations
- Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all payables
- Support factory (Toyota/Stellantis) statement reconciliation and warranty/incentive billing as needed
- Communicate professionally with vendors regarding billing questions and payment status
- Assist the office manager and controller with other accounting tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (dealership experience strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with dealership DMS/accounting software a plus (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with high transaction volumes
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong sense of ownership over deadlines
- Solid organizational and time-management skills
- Clear, professional communication with vendors, coworkers, and management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information
