About the role:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in the movement, accuracy, and documentation of materials across Receiving, Production, and Inventory. You will help maintain efficient warehouse operations, support production needs, and ensure products flow seamlessly throughout the facility.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM (8 hrs/day) While this is the standard schedule, occasional shift changes, overtime, or weekend work may be required during peak operational periods.
You’ll get to:
- Carefully manage shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accuracy and on-time processing.
- Work closely with operations leadership and coordinators to align daily priorities and inventory needs.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records, monitor stock levels, and apply FIFO rotation.
- Use basic computer systems to record inventory, receipts, and order fulfillment details.
- Safely operate manual and electric pallet jacks to transport product within the warehouse.
- Unload inbound trucks, verify condition of goods, and document exceptions such as damage or expiration concerns.
- Assist with accurate order fulfillment using strong attention to detail.
- Adapt to shifting priorities to maintain smooth and efficient daily operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and operations.
- Organize warehouse space efficiently—like playing real-life 3D Tetris.
- Document accurate shift logs, maintenance records, and hand‑off notes.
Must-haves:
- Proficient with computers and comfortable entering data accurately.
- Willingness to learn ERP or digital inventory systems.
- Basic understanding of food safety and GMP practices.
- Familiarity with FIFO inventory rotation.
- Comfortable with warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Ability to stand for long periods and repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work in cold environments (36°F) for extended durations.
