Sanitation Associate

GLK Sauerkraut is a leading company committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sanitation Worker. 

Job description: 

As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Responsibilities: 

• Performing routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain cleanliness in various areas of the facility, including production areas, restrooms, offices, and break rooms.
• Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
• Disposing of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Operating cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers, safely and effectively.
• Following established sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with food safety standards (if applicable).
• Completion of all necessary reports, logs, and documentation as to the result of shift and departmental activities
• Assisting with inventory management by organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Notifying management of any maintenance or repair issues that may affect sanitation standards or safety.

Minimum Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or sanitation work preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
