Ferguson Trenching Company has immediate openings for an experienced Pipelayer to join our Civil Division team based in Odenton, MD. Ideal applicants are hardworking, reliable individuals that possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assembling, connecting and construction of pipe systems for various utility services including (but not limited to) water, sewer, storm drains, and dry utilities.
- Able to install utilities on line and grade, able to shoot grades and use lasers.
- Experienced setting structures and making taps.
- Align and connect pipes, fittings, and structures.
- Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines or hand tools.
- Other duties as assigned
- Able and willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the underground utility construction industry.
- Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and must provide own transportation to jobsites.
- Must pass Federal background check.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pay based on experience and demonstration of skills.
Civil Division operations are based in Odenton, MD – This position requires daily routes to jobsites throughout the State of Maryland. Home daily.
Ferguson Trenching Company performs all facets of underground utility installation and site work construction for private developers, counties, municipalities, and state and federal government agencies throughout the State of Maryland and surrounding areas.
