Excavator/Dozer Operator

Ferguson Trenching Company (FTC) has an immediate opening for a full-time experienced Excavator/Dozer Operator to join our Civil Division team.

FTC performs all facets of underground utility and site work construction for private developers, counties, municipalities and state and federal government agencies throughout the State of Maryland. Our main office is in Odenton, MD with additional operations in White Plains.

Requirements:

• Operate mid-size to large track excavators as part of a team installing water and sewer lines, storm drains, concrete duct banks and other utilities on commercial and municipal sites across Maryland and surrounding areas.
• Operate bulldozers to move materials, clear and grade construction sites, and perform tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
• Candidates must be experienced loading dump trucks, mass excavation, handling trench boxes, trench excavation and backfill.
• Minimum 5 years of operating experience.
• Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and must provide own transportation to jobsites.
• Must pass Federal background check
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Safe operation of equipment around crew and jobsites is mandatory.

Pay based on experience and demonstration of skills.

Civil Division operations are based in Odenton, MD. This position requires daily routes to jobsites throughout the State of Maryland. Home daily.
