We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Record and process journal entries using accounting software QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently and accurately
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Conduct monthly account analysis, including account reconciliation and review of debits & credits for accuracy
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including double entry bookkeeping practices and general ledger accounting
Qualifications
- Proven experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards
- Knowledge of GAAP guidelines and financial concepts related to balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries
- Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation accurately
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping tasks and financial report writing
- Ability to interpret financial data clearly and communicate findings effectively to team members
