Job Description
As a Civil Engineer, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects for public and private clients. You will contribute to projects ranging from local roadway improvements and corridor studies to state DOT transportation initiatives. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative transportation solutions that improve mobility, safety, and community connectivity. Some Responsibilities Include
Roadway & Transportation Design:
- Assist with the planning, design, and analysis of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Develop roadway design components including horizontal/vertical geometry, drainage considerations, and traffic operations.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Support roadway design for state DOT, municipal, and parish projects.
- Perform engineering calculations, modeling, and technical analysis.
- Prepare design plans using industry tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, or similar CAD platforms.
- Support preparation of permit applications, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams including survey, drainage, utilities, environmental, and construction services.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and agencies throughout the project life cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum with a major concentration in Civil Engineering.
- 10 years of experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Louisiana or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
