Duties
- Assist in coordinating all phases of residential construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Support project managers in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design specifications.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and adherence to project timelines.
- Utilize construction estimating tools and HeavyBid software to assist in cost control and budget management.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify quality standards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare and update project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Assist in managing project scope changes and contract modifications while ensuring clear communication among all stakeholders.
- Support project coordination efforts by tracking deliverables, deadlines, and resource allocations using construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam.
- Facilitate effective communication between clients, architects, engineers, and field teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Contribute to risk management by identifying potential delays or issues early and proposing mitigation strategies.
Skills
- Proven experience with construction site operations within residential projects; familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software such as Xactimate, Symbility
- Expertise in project scheduling and project management principles tailored to residential construction environments.
- Solid understanding of contracts, change orders, and construction law fundamentals.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating among diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with civil site work processes and safety protocols on residential construction sites.
